See the video (click the above link) that shows the access for trucks (and 18-wheelers) delivering to Zeto and other businesses using the common alley way behind Zeto for delivery trucks to bring products to these businesses to serve their customers and, thereby, to continue their operations. We understand that GDOT is considering a "turnaround" for delivery trucks when Lindsay St. is permanently closed for a private development. GDOT has not contacted businesses in the area to be affected as far as we know. We just found out about this and this (3/31/15) is day 8 of 10 of the review period.
Lindsay St. is still slated to be closed -- permanently, not temporarily as some have commented. The "turnaround" GDOT is considering for vehicles/trucks/18-wheelers is where the street is to be closed at the lower driveway of Zeto. This driveway is the access point for trucks (like the one in the accompanying video) delivering to the Zeto loading dock. GDOT has not contacted Zeto to inform the business of this nor to ask for input regarding an important matter for this and other businesses in this immediate area which use the common alley way to access their businesses. Professional truck drivers will face difficulty delivering to Zeto and other businesses that have access for delivery trucks via the common alley access. See the video made in Nov. 2014 of a delivery truck backing to the loading dock of Zeto.
When the road is closed, will the turnaround under consideration by GDOT accommodate this truck? Who knows since GDOT is moving forward without asking businesses that need this access. We will appreciate GDOT talking with all businesses that will be affected.
